Familiar names in entertainment and politics attended a luxury cannabis product launch located in West Hollywood on Thursday evening. Sharon Stone, Orlando Bloom, Justin Theroux, Malin Akerman, Lake Bell and others were spotted at the luxury cannabis event. Plenty of instrumental California lawmakers were invited as well.

California state Senator Steven Bradford, California state Director of Drug Policy Alliance Lynne Lyman, congressional hopeful Alejandra Campoverdi, and Rusty Areias, formerly of the California State Assembly, all were in attendance. With this large number of notable individuals showing an interest in cannabis, it can only bode well for the growth of the industry.

The host of the event, Beboe provides low-dosage, luxury cannabis products designed for a heightened experience at dinners and cocktail parties. Attendees listened to a speech given by Areias about the importance of the cannabis industry and how luxury cannabis brands can help elevate the way cannabis consumers are perceived.

“It’s really bringing a level of sophistication and fluidity to this industry,” founder Clement Kwan said. “It’s putting the customer first as opposed to the product.” Kwan’s experience with Dolce & Gabbana, Diesel and Theory should help execute their goals. The brand could usher in a new wave of luxury cannabis items by raising the bar.

Acceptance of cannabis is at an all time high, especially if cannabis products are beginning to attract the attention of actors and other celebrities who are interested in learning more about the cannabis industry. Taking into account Carlos Santana, Willie Nelson, Whoopi Goldberg and so many more, the general opinion of cannabis is rising to a positive height.
