Canna-milkVegans and vegetarians now have a new reason to visit the U.K., and is it cannabis-related! Canna-milk is a new cannabis product released this month in London, England. Vegan café and food company Rawligion, based out of London, recently launched a new cannabis-based vegan milk drink called Relax. The drink is made from hemp seeds, cashews, dates, coconut oil, vanilla, water, and cannabidiol—which we know promotes calmness and tranquility.

Rawligion development consultant Michael Isted says while the formula doesn’t produce the same effects as smoking cannabis, it can provide some positive feelings and healthful benefits. “It’s used for a multitude of different health issues,” he says, “including anxiety, cancer (particularly the side effects of conventional treatments), pain relief, depression and sleep disorders.”

The new Relax drink is available through Rawligion, both in-store and online, but is limited to residents of central London only. Sudies have shown that cannabis juice and cannabidiol on its own can help pain and inflammation, nausea and seizures, and it is an anti-psychotic. People have been juicing the leaves of cannabis plants for decades for its nutrition help, as it provides better health in many areas of our internal systems.

Cannabis seeds have also been proven to promote cardiovascular health, with a 3:1 balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. They are also high in gamma linolenic acid (GLA), an essential omega-6 fatty acid found in borage oil and egg yolks that has been proven to naturally balance hormones. They are rich in soluble and un-soluble fiber which naturally cleanses the colon and reduces sugar cravings, and they are a “perfect protein” and contain all 20 amino acids as well as all nine essential amino acids that our bodies cannot produce. Hemp seeds are also a rich source of phytonutrients including Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc, as well as Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, D and E.

If you’re looking to improve digestion, balance hormones and improve metabolism, then hemp seeds may just be the superfood you’re looking for. The new cannabis-based vegan milk is yet another addition to the growing number of cannabis-based products in the U.K. and globally, and since it uses organic, locally-sourced, animal-free dairy alternatives, it is better nutrition for everybody.
