Blunt HeadsThe adult cartoon industry has always been a unique side of animation, and it is also one that has garnered a strong following. Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Big Mouth and Rick and Morty are just a few examples about how entertaining animation can be. Now a new cartoon series, geared strictly toward adult cannabis consumers, is taking the stage.

The Blunt Heads is a new video series features a number of characters, all who take up the physical likeness of different sized joints. The story of how the show’s creator, John Boy Watts, came up with the idea is a simple one. While in prison in 2005, John Boy Watts recalls a conversation with another inmate who was to be released in a few days. Upon being asked what he’ll do when he leaves, he said planned to “Stop at Mickey Dees and get me a Big Mac, drink a pint of Hennessey and smoke a big fat “blunt.” Watts claims that he had never heard of the word “blunt” before, but it was soon thereafter he invented the character of Mr. Blunt Head.

The show revolves around the interactions of its many characters, which includes Mr. Blunt Head, Mrs. Blunt Head, her children Keshia, Kush and Baby-Roach, Uncle Blunt, Mary Jane and many more. What makes this series unique is its many voice actors, with Ice T lending his talents to voice Mr. Blunt Head himself.

CULTURE interviewed Ice T back in 2014, and he had a lot to say about cannabis. Although he still abstains from all cannabis, drugs and alcohol, it’s no surprise that he continues to advocate for people’s right to use cannabis. “It’s a big waste of money and effort to go after weed, really,” Ice T told CULURE. “It’s just a matter of time for the government to figure out a way to tax it and they should.”

The Blunt Heads is a relatively new series, having only begun airing earlier this summer, but it has great ambitions. Interested viewers can keep an eye out for new episodes, on The Blunt Heads episode page for new videos.
