After three years, Olympia’s own Naomi Punk returns with the release of its most curious, experimental work to date—Yellow. While the band’s own brand of indie rock/art punk has always been pretty far out, the new record sees the band pushing further and further into the unknown and exploring its own style and music in a way few bands dare to do. Though the band may dive a little too deep at points on the 22-track release, it stays close enough to shore to never fully abandon the style it has developed and the sound that fans have come to adore.
