Nancy Botwin is no stranger to being on the lam. Being a marijuana dealer sort of gets the DEA to want to hunt you down. That being said, it’s time we give it up for those who kept one step ahead of law enforcement, and give them their props. Here is our take on three of our favorite fugitives from TV and movies.

Dr. Richard Kimble

He might be the best vascular surgeon in Chicago, but when a one-armed man comes a’-callin‘ and offs his wife, it’s time to drop the Regarding Henry and get Indiana Jones on someone’s ass. This 1993 thriller (based on a ’60s TV series) proved to movie audiences that Harrison Ford still had what it takes to pull off an action role. Too bad they made U.S. Marshalls.

Dr. David Banner/The Incredible Hulk

Besides providing Lou Ferrigno with a steady paycheck, this weekly television series starring Bill Bixby made a monster into a sympathetic, tragic hero of sorts. Because the cops (they think he’s a monster) and a nosy reporter named Jack McGee are after him, Banner does the ol‘ Kung Fu/The Fugitive bit and drifts from place to place . . . trying not to get angry.

Jack Bauer

He’s the dude that should have caught Osama. Jack Bauer, from the “real-time” television series 24, probably clocked in the same amount of time catching terrorists as he spent being hunted by his own superiors for following his own leads and unorthodox methods. Plus there was all that torture stuff. Sarah Palin thought she was “going rogue.” Wait until Jack shows you what rogue really means. (Michael Carlos)
