What does your access
point offer patients that they can’t find anywhere else?

Every budtender we have is super knowledgeable; they know
what people need for different conditions. People can come in and ask us
questions, we’re not just here to make money and sell marijuana. We want to
help people treat their conditions. One of the “Medicine Men,” Slava, has over
10 years of health care experience, so he’s also really knowledgeable. I went
to Oaksterdam University myself, and I was a budtender for a while.

What are the biggest
challenges you face in this industry as an access point? . . .  Biggest joys?

Banking. That’s a huge one. This whole cash thing is getting
ridiculous. Banks need to open up and work with us. For joys, it’s very
rewarding when you can have someone who has never smoked marijuana and now they
need it for a certain condition. It’s so rewarding for us to have them to come
back and say, “This has changed my life.”

What is the one thing
you want patients to know about your access point?

and our patients. We’re a family here. It’s not like a lot of other places
where you just hire employees who are there to just pass the time.

What is the most
important thing you hope to accomplish while in the MJ/MMJ community?

I like what we’re doing now, I think we’re accomplishing
what we want to accomplish. We want to help people and that’s what we’re doing,
that’s out main focus. We’re not trying to blow up and be huge, we just want to
help the people. The more people we can help, the better. We want to raise
awareness about marijuana, and change perceptions.
