Candies are always real fun as far as edibles go. Yup, cookies and pastries are nice, but candies are a little different since they take the form of treats you can get nostalgic over (gummy bears, lollipops, etc.), and the flavors are usually fruity and sweet or tart or tangy—not the kind of thing you run into chomping on a medicated snickerdoodle. These Humble Farm SoftStrips—dissolving strips intended to deliver your indica medicine by being absorbed under your tongue—are all business, but please consider them candy on the strength of their kiss of flavor. We sampled the Raspberry and Watermelon flavors (SoftStrips are available at Alternative Herbal Collective in Riverside and Rubidoux) and all we can say is, just imagine thinly-sliced squares of Starburst candies. And they dissolve as sweetly as cotton candy. They come two strips per pack with one strip being the recommended dose. We found the effects to be stimulating—midway between lucid and mind-softening —and excellent for a before-bedtime delight.
