With raids still happening, what’s a medical cannabis provider to do? Thankfully, the good souls at Americans For Safe Access (ASA) have launched a “Raid Response” campaign to help protect our MMJ community’s rights. When a raid is in progress and reported to ASA, here’s a taste of how things are supposed to go down:

ASA staff checks its database to find information about the provider or dispensary being raided.

ASA seeks to confirm the raid by calling the contacts it has on file.

Attorneys for the medical cannabis provider and the local media are both contacted. A text alert is sent to the community.

Local activists are convened, a press release is issued, victims and patients are supported.

Go to safeaccessnow.org, click on “Projects” tab and check out the “Raid Center” for further information.
