There’s an awesome story that comes from the choosing of Gelato #1 from Holistic Healing Collective in San Pablo, and it begins with the expertise of famous NorCal rapper, B-Legit. He along with a few other reviewers, had the opportunity to sample the first 15 different phenotypes, all of which were tested by Steep Hill Laboratory. Through a detailed voting system, which included an analysis of each strain’s exterior, taste, scent and it’s effect on the body, the group finally narrowed down their choices to five strains—and B-Legit chose Gelato #1 as his favorite. The strain is a cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Sunset Sherbert, and is an intensely hybridized, aromatic and potent cross only recommend to high-tolerance patients. It’s very frosty, very dense and grinds into a floral powder that evokes the strain’s mythical, closely held vintage Purple Pain and Pink Panties ancestors. Gelato packs intense, hybrid effects—relaxing and pain relieving without being sedating.
