Filet Mignon with Vermouth Barbecue Sauce

2 cups sweet red vermouth
*1 cup marijuana butter
½ onion, sliced into thin rings
½ cup olive oil
2 garlic cloves

4 filet mignon steaks

2 cups sweet red vermouth

*1 cup marijuana butter

½ onion, sliced into thin rings

½ cup olive oil

2 garlic cloves

Juice of 1 lemon

Salt and pepper

Poke holes in steak on both sides with a fork then rub with olive oil and salt and pepper. Set aside. In a large saucepan, melt ½ of the butter over low heat. Add onions and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring constantly. When onions are caramelized, add the vermouth, lemon juice, garlic and remaining butter. Simmer to reduce the sauce, stirring constantly, for about 30 minutes or until the sauce thickens to a syrupy consistency. Grill steaks to preference, remove from heat and let rest on a plate for 5 minutes. Spoon sauce on top of each steak. (Makes four servings)
