However, one new festival stands out among the rest as the best pre-420 party in Northern California: Field of Haze. This one-day festival, for medical cannabis patients 18 and older, is produced by non-other than Jeff Monser, founder of other party-rocking festivals as California Roots and Dry Diggings. This festival will be jam packed with activities, offering a number of musical acts, food and top-notch vendors for festivalgoers to enjoy, and will be taking place the weekend before 420 at Field of Dreams Ranch in Oroville, CA.

Fest goers will celebrate the most wonderful day of the year with musical performances by J Boog, Zion I and The Green, with notorious high-energy reggae rock group Pepper headlining. And what’s a good festival without delicious food? Field of Haze will have plenty of delectable delicacies to satisfy your munchies, including gluten-free and vegan food! Inside the fest’s “215 Patient Zone” patients will be able to participate in activities, medicate freely and sit-in on informative lectures relating to medical cannabis, including education about strains, new cannabis tech and medical treatments.

On top of the informative and entertaining side of cannabis, Field of Haze will also offer some of the most delicious beers available from a couple of the coolest breweries in Northern California (Lagunitas Brewing Co. and Altamont Beer Works—two of our favorites) and they are also offering education on beer and brewing! In the “Beer Knowledge Zone,” guests will learn about what classifies certain types of beers and just how different brewing methods are; pretty amazing.

Along with all of the stellar music, food, beer and resources, Field of Haze has hand-picked all of its vendors, giving guests even more fun with art, clothing and crafts to boot! All of this great entertainment is packed into one awesome day, but guests can extend their stay in the beautiful Northern California area by camping locally.
