How and when did your store start up?
Our first store opened in March of 2015 in Covington through a lot of hard work and quite a bit of luck. A lot of people were looking to open retail locations in the industry at that time, but there really were a lot of barriers to entry—the stars aligned for us and we now have four locations.
What’s the story behind the name of your store?
It was the result of an after-hours brainstorm. We were creating a place to help transport people to another place in their consciousness, to explore their world in another way and feel great doing it . . . the root of our name is “euphoria,” so our name takes that state of intense happiness and makes it a physical place.
What does your store offer customers that they can’t find anywhere else?
Euphorium budtenders. Our customers love our crew! We expect each of our budtenders to be knowledgeable about every product in our store and to keep learning every day—and they don’t disappoint. We have built a culture that puts customer service first, so all our budtenders are passionate about two things—enjoying marijuana, and helping of our customers do the same. Our staff is friendly, fun and full of information!
How has the cannabis industry changed since you have been in the business? Where would you like to see it go?
Marijuana is gaining wider acceptance, and the stigma is changing; we love to see that and are excited to see it continue.
What are the biggest challenges you face in this industry as a store? . . . Biggest joys?
Biggest joy has been seeing our passion realized and building a sense of community in our stores. Making the best marijuana products in Washington accessible to our customers in a safe and friendly retail environment has been a dream come true.
What is the one thing you want customers to know about your store?
We love newbies! Sometimes people new to marijuana can find dispensaries intimidating, and we totally understand that. Our staff is happy to take the time with people new to recreational marijuana and really help them get to know the wide assortment of options to consume that are available now, what might be right for them and why. The layout of our stores are great for browsing, and we pride ourselves on our wide selection, so people new to marijuana or people that have been consuming for decades can enjoy shopping for marijuana in a true retail environment.
If someone wanted to open a store and get their feet wet in the industry, what advice or counsel would you give them?

What is the most important thing you hope to accomplish while in the cannabis community?
Serving our customers to the highest possible standard, every single day. It’s what we do.
