Why did you start using medical
cannabis?

I
was in a motorcycle accident. Someone didn’t see me; they hit me and launched
me over 100 feet from the crash. Due to severe injuries, I couldn’t move, eat, drink
or even talk. I had a broken skull, broken eye socket in multiple places and
breaks in my nose, neck, pelvis, arm and wrist. But, now I have my own version
of physical therapy and as I continue to hit the weights and use ym cannabis, I
continue to get better.

Did you try other methods or
treatments before cannabis?

Yes,
many medications were prescribed by my doctors but when I found cannabis, I
discovered how much less harmful the herb is on your body than all those pills
. . . Doctors prescribed me one medication for pain, one for muscle spasms and
one for appetite. The medical cocktail made me sick to my stomach—and doctors
would just give me another pill for nausea! Fortunately, cannabis has significantly
reduced the amount of pharmaceutical pills I have to take, and even helped get
me rid of a few altogether!

What’s the most important issue
or problem facing medical cannabis patients?

It’s
definitely the gray areas in laws varying from state to state. For example, if
I go to see relatives or want to go on vacation, I can’t take my medicine with
me.

What do you say to folks who are
skeptical about cannabis as medicine?

I
say to ask around, and get information from other people who have used it. Start
small and do your homework.
