Elevate  Lettuce

Lettuce Records

Three years since its last release of original material and two years since putting out a collection of Miles Davis covers, long running jammy funkster band, Lettuce, has returned with its sixth studio album, Elevate. The new record finds the band returning to its roots and drawing on the clean, technical stylings of classic artists like Tower of Power and Earth, Wind & Fire while still leaning into its tastes for modern jazz and hip-hop. Working with veteran engineer Russell Elevado (D’Angelo, The Roots, Alicia Keys), the band sounds tighter than ever and brimming with new ideas and concepts. (Simon Weedn)
