Digital Garbage

Sub Pop Records

Though grunge might have been the most iconic musical movements to rise out of the Pacific North-West, shockingly few of the bands from that late ’80s/early ’90s scene remain intact.  Mudhoney, around now for 30 years, are one of those few and remain just as powerful and raw as ever. On its most recent release, Digital Garbage, the Seattle quartet blast out 11 new songs that see the band laying out the heavy, gritty yet sharp sounding alternative rock that they helped pioneer. Though the record doesn’t see the band pushing into any new territory, the new material sounds incredibly fresh and tight. (Simon Weedn)
