Celebrate the “Super Blue Blood Moon” with Blue Strains

Lunar eclipses are pretty common, but during the early morning hours of tomorrow, Jan. 31, stargazers are in for a special treat. Those who are up early enough will be able to catch a sighting of what’s being called a “super blue blood moon” that will be visible at varying times, depending on where you are located in the world.

According to The New York Times, the moon will appear to glow red, looking somewhat like it is illuminated by red flame. This will occur because the Earth will be situated between the sun and the moon, and the special alignment will cast a cool red glow on the surface. This event is also special because it happens to coincide with a blue moon, meaning the second full moon of the month, and with a supermoon, meaning the moon is a bit closer to the earth than usual. All of these cosmic events combine to create the super blue blood moon, a larger-than-usual, full blue moon with a reddish hue.

“For the (continental) U.S., the viewing will be best in the West,” Gordon Johnston, program executive and lunar blogger at NASA Headquarters in Washington, claimed, according to NASA’s official blog. “Set your alarm early and go out and take a look.” NASA will also provide a live feed of the eclipse if you feel like witnessing it from inside the comfort of your own home.

The last time that these occurred all at once was in 1866, and after tomorrow, it won’t occur again until 2037.

If you’re waking and baking to catch the monumental event, you may want to try some appropriate named strains.

Blue Dream: This is the perfect sativa to ease you out of a peaceful night of sleep and into some stargazing. Consumers will feel sedated, stress-free and without aches and pains when using this masterpiece.

Blueberry OG: Blueberry OG and other Blueberry hybrids are useful for treating mood disorders or just for improving anyone’s sense of well-being. Erase tension, stress or pain with the benefits that Blueberry OG has to offer.

Blueberry Live Resin: The appearance was deceptively different than the aroma and taste—it appeared like peanut butter, an opaque, beige color with an interesting texture. The flavor was absolutely incredible, tasting somewhere between a blueberry pie and a basket of assorted fruit.

Sour Blue Cookie Calyx Trichome: After using a vaporizer and water pipe to sample this flower, the CULTURE team noted that the effect had something for both sativa and indica lovers. A sense of relief and bliss accentuated by a minor boost of energy and creativity was noted.

Blue Fire by 420 Natural: The effects of this flower were fast-acting and powerful. It was more relaxing than euphoric, but definitely not one that leaves you on the couch feeling too lazy to do much other than press “next” on your electronic device.

Blue Chip Gorilla Glue: Take a whiff of this extremely crystallized strain, and you will become lost in the stunningly diverse lemony and woody aromas. Offering a wonderful and distinct assortment of earthy flavor, savory tastes of redwood and pine are accented with a slight citrus notes.

Blue Diesel Phloem Oil: This amber tinted shatter had the office buzzing through our mid-week slump and into the glorious weekend until we unfortunately ran out. Now all we can do is reminisce about its pungent odors and muscle-relaxing effects while letting our faithful readers in on the secret.

Whatever you choose to consume, don’t miss out on this rare lunar phenomenon. Getting up early will be worth it, we promise!
