[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]I[/dropcap]n a world that thrives and socializes with the aid of the internet, those who do not embrace technology are often left to the wayside. It’s the difference between talking on a clunky home phone instead of using their cell phone, or choosing to ignore access to endless information about random places, people and things on the internet versus storing an old version of the entire encyclopedia in your home. And with cannabis, it’s the difference between using classic but sometimes weaker strains from the 1970s that pale in comparison to the potency and flavors of today’s strains. Today, Hi Tech is the new variation of peak enjoyment, and a prominent evolution of its ancestors.

The origins of Hi Tech are somewhat of a mystery, although CULTURE reviewers hypothesize that it hails from the same gene pool as Girl Scout Cookies, Thin Mint Cookies, Sunset Sherbet and Gelato, all of which are strong indicas that bring on soothing bodily relaxation.

The size of a Hi Tech bud may often be small, but don’t let that dissuade you. Covered around this dense strain is a thick collection of frosty trichomes. The scent of this strain on the other hand is wholly surprising as well. Containing both the telltale dank scent of gas, but mixed with uplifting floral and mango-esque notes of fruit, it will awaken the senses and mind before the relaxation truly sets in. At one moment you’ll be excited by the spicy and fruity terpenes within, but invokes the small percentage of sativa contained within this indica-dominant hybrid.

This strain would be a good flower to try out following a long day of work, where you may need a little energy to do some chores and make dinner, but then can soon settle in on the couch to binge your favorite TV show or movie. Medical patients will find a temporary reprieve from muscle or joint pain when consuming Hi Tech.

Named as one of the best summer strains of 2016 by East Bay Express, Hi Tech is a popular strain among many, and well worth the transition from old to new.
