Canna-Chow Mein

In light of the Chinese New Year this weekend, we wanted to celebrate properly and in style! Noodles represent happiness, luck and longevity for the Chinese culture. So, what better time to eat noodles than during the Chinese New Year? Enter Canna-Chow Mein! We’ve cannabisized the most delicious and easy chow mein recipe just for you! Enjoy with friends and loved ones!

Ingredients (Serves 6)

1 lb egg noodle spaghetti or Chinese chow mein noodles

1 1/2 cup chopped green beans

1/4 cup cannabis- infused vegetable oil*

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

1 garlic clove, crushed

1/2 cup celery, julienne sliced

1/2 cup carrot, julienne sliced

1/2 cup fresh sprouts

1 cup finely shredded chicken meat or tofu cubes

2 tablespoons soy sauce / tamari / Braggs

1 teaspoon sugar

1 tablespoon rice wine

1 1/2 tablespoons canna butter*

3 tablespoons chicken or vegetable stock

1/2 chicken or vegetable bouillon cube, crumbled

Directions

Cook noodles in boiling salted water until they are just tender. Drain the noodles and keep hot. Cook the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and keep hot.

Heat the infused oil in a large frying pan. When it is hot add the onion and garlic. Fry for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the chicken or tofu and stir fry for one minute. Add the beans, soy sauce, sugar, rice wine and stir fry for another 1 1/2 minutes. Using a slotted spoon transfer the chicken/tofu and bean mixture to a bowl. Keep hot but set aside. Throw the noodles, carrots and celery into the hot pan with remaining sauce, and stir fry for 1 minute. Return the bean and chicken/tofu mixture to the pan and increase the heat to high. Stir fry everything together for 1 minute, adding more oil or soy sauce if needed, to taste.
