“LA vs. WAR” returns to Los Angeles on Sept. 9 through Sept. 11 after a three-year hiatus. The massive group art exhibition for peace was created by John Carr (Yo! Peace, the Center for the Study of Political Graphics, Political Gridlock and Ad Hoc Art) to chronicle the creative responses to current military conflicts. This year’s exhibition will span three days and highlight the tenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks. In the days leading to the show, “LA vs. WAR” is working with muralists to create public “peace” murals. (Lynn Lieu)
