Every year, the women leading the cannabis industry come together in Denver to discuss best business practices, ethics in the industry, compliance, unity and everything in between. This year will be no different, as the 2018 Women Grow Leadership Summit promises to be packed full of inspirational speakers, opportunities for networking and as the name implies, wonderful ways to observe growth in the industry.

Taking place Feb. 1 and 2 at the Westin Hotel in downtown Denver, the summit’s end-of-the-week time slot and centralized location in the city makes it easy for industry professionals and interested attendees to stop through, even if they have busy schedules.

This year’s event features breakout sessions such as “Cannabis & the Feminine,” “Careers in Cannabis After 50 – How to Market Yourself” and “Joint Rolling with Jane West.” There will also be larger sessions, known as Lightning Talks, including “Capitol Hill to Cannabis,” “The Intercultural Conversation – Cannabis Between Cultures” and “Why Science Matters.” The Summit always features noteworthy special guest speakers, ranging from members of the Cannabis Cultural Association, a group that helps underrepresented ethnicities get involved in the industry, to Xena Ugrinsky, a consultant who specializes in business optimization through data.

“‘Women Will Lead’ is a phrase you will often hear in the Women Grow network, and there is no bigger or better opportunity than Summit to put that term into action,” said Kristina “Kay” Garcia, CEO of Women Grow. “From our event producer, vendors and suppliers, to business services like our public relations and speaker coaching team and more, we are so proud to make this year’s Summit a mostly women-led event. These women are excellent examples of what we contribute to this industry.”

Women Grow is a empowerment and business association that offers resources to women all year round, but they take special care in curating their annual Summit. Those interested in participating can visit Women Grow online to learn more about all the events offered, ticket, prices and hotel information. For those who cannot attend in person, the organization also recently partnered with online streaming site Twitch to allow others to watch from home.
