[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]T[/dropcap]he munchies—we’ve all had them. Cannabis consumers know all too well that when we get that craving, it’s normal for something sweet or something salty and/or savory. Luckily, you can satisfy both of those cravings from now on with the official arrival of McDonald’s previously rare, Mulan-inspired Szechuan Sauce which originally debuted in 1998. But this time, it will be more available to fans.

Five months ago, the Szechuan Sauce debacle occurred. Promising a special packet of the extremely limited Szechuan Sauce, the fast-food giant was met with negative responses, threats and even riots because it didn’t think that the massively popular online community and fans of the Rick and Morty animated TV series would care that much. Well, they did.

McDonald’s tried to apologize, but it wasn’t enough to give the fans what they really wanted. Immediately after seeing things go south, McDonald’s sent out a formal apology, claiming that it plans to bring back the sauce in winter. Announced late last week, McDonald’s is now sending 20 million packets of sauce to stores across the country, starting today, Monday, Feb. 26.

Our super-limited batch, though well-intentioned, clearly wasn’t near enough to meet that demand,” McDonald’s says on its own Szechuan Sauce page, aptly called http://www.wewantthesauce.com. “We disappointed fans and we are sorry. To fully make amends, we felt it was important to not only bring back much more sauce this time, but to also admit our mistakes, answer questions and give fans access to the story behind the story.

McDonald even launched a three-part podcast that informs super-fans all about the history of the sauce, and how everything went down.

The caveat is that you don’t get sauces for free—they come with a “qualifying purchase.” Specifically, an order that involves Buttermilk Crispy Tenders. But hey, when you have the munchies, nothing else sounds better than this sweet and tangy sauce.

We’re not the only ones who crave some quick, cheap bites. Last year a study revealed that many cannabis consumers prefer McDonald’s over other fast food joints. Other competitors have also targeted your munchies cravings with food like Jack in the Box’s “Munchie Meal.”

Will you be indulging in some Szechuan Sauce this week? Be prepared for higher traffic than normal—but the satisfaction is probably worth it.
