Vegan Green Leaf Farms in Nevada is one step closer to operating as one of the first vegan cannabis farms in the state. CEO Mark Bradley recently confirmed that it has completed its first phase of construction. Next, the facilities need to pass a state inspection, which is slated to happen before the end of the month. The vegan farm is now working diligently to meet all fire and security codes too. The next step will be to start cultivating their unique cannabis crops.

“The first stage of operation will utilize only 7,000 sq. feet of the company’s 26,000 allocated for cultivation,” the press release explains. “The square footage will be filled with grow modules and is expected to begin generating revenue by February 2017.” Green Leaf Farms will also have a designated space for manufacturing concentrates, which should bring in revenue before the end of 2017.

Green Leaf Farms has raised $2.5 million in funding from investors who value the highest-quality standards in the cannabis industry. Part of these high standards are set by the quality of cannabis that will be grown in the facility, thanks to the company’s cultivation team. Jae Benjamin and Corey Crosser bring their previous knowledge and experience to the new Green Leaf Farms. The release expands on Benjamin’s experience, “Jae is a seasoned expert at growing cannabis and uses his 20 plus years of experience to develop top genetics using 100 percent GMO-free pure organic nutrients and soils, allowing Jae to grow some of the highest quality cannabis and CBD-enriched medicine.” It continues to explain that Benjamin has been recognized as one of the most influential cannabis cultivators in the area and is an actor in feature films and television shows.

Crosser is another member of the cultivation team who brings a ton of experience. “Corey, growing hydroponically, has a discipline in veganic plant cultivation and is an expert in hydroponics that also have several cutting-edge medical strains which are 100 percent vegan with no pesticides,” the release explains. “Corey and Jae are a team with the ability to produce high-quality, market leading, innovative strains to compete in the emerging market.”

Nevada will decide on Question 2 this November. If passed, not only will recreational cannabis become legal in the state, but Green Leaf Farms will be ready to provide adults with some of the highest quality vegan cannabis available.
