To jumpstart their work on making Utah the go-to state for medical cannabis patients, United Patients Group has also helped organize a new force to assist Utah in its journey towards medical cannabis with an advocacy group called The Utah Association for Responsible Cannabis Legislation. Along with Sacred Roots of Healing, the organizations will be putting on a special event to help create awareness for the need of medical cannabis in the state on Wednesday, October 12 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The event, dubbed “Medical Cannabis: The Science. The Truth,” offers “an evening of information, education and awareness on the science of cannabinoid medicine, the national political climate and the potential benefits to the people of Utah.”

So its local leaders such as Juanita Ramos, along with UPG, who will help make it happen. “Our mission is simple, to advocate direct and safe access of cannabinoid medicine for people who suffer from debilitating aliments,” Ramos said. “As lawmakers of Utah such as Representative Froerer seek to do what’s best for the citizens of our state, we felt it was time to bring in experts to separate fact from fiction, deliver that information to those in the trenches with the Utah patient-population, and ideally help educate our lawmakers to craft a more relevant and inclusive bill that will bring about options for health and healing.”
