[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]A[/dropcap]ccording to an Oct. 21 press release, hip-hop and cannabis icon Snoop Dogg will serve as the new brand ambassador for Seedo, an Israeli company that makes automated cultivation boxes for home growing. It’s the rapper’s latest cannabis-related brand endorsement, among many.
“Promoting a healthier lifestyle by providing my friends and communities with products that allow for growth in unused urban spaces is something I’m all the way down with,” said Snoop Dogg. “Seedo creates cost savings and the opportunity for all people to benefit from agricultural technologies.” Snoop Dogg will assist Seedo in its efforts to promote social responsibility, including giving out Seedo gifts to communities, beginning with his hometown in Long Beach, California.
Seedo’s products are powered through artificial intelligence, with turnkey systems that can enable anyone to have the ability to grow cannabis without prior experience. Urban farming is becoming increasingly popular in the U.S. with the patchwork of cannabis laws that frequently allow home growing, depending on the state.
The company’s product line includes SeedoHome, its automated home growing device for smaller sized areas, and SeedoFarm, its automated industrial-sized home growing device for larger scale grow projects. The boxes can be controlled remotely via the Seedo app. In addition, the lights can be moved arranged in a way that they are always at the appropriate distance from the plants.
