What products or services does your business offer?

Rudy Patros, President of Securatech: Securatech offers a wide array of products and services for residential, commercial and cannabis industries, including but not limited to: Burglar & Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Video Monitoring, Intercom and Low Voltage Wiring.

How has the cannabis industry changed since you have been in the business? Where would you like to see it go?

Since we’ve been in business the cannabis industry, medical and recreational marijuana has become legal in most states and in turn, has security requirements to comply with. We would like to see full legalization on a federal level with individual states governing their own compliance laws concerning cannabis.

What are the some of the challenges you see in cannabis industry?

We think that there are many challenges in the cannabis industry, on a state-by-state basis, each having their own individual impact. We feel the biggest one would be on a federal level concerning banking. Many cannabis based businesses are cash “rich” and run into banking issues because the industry is not approved of on a federal level.

What do you want people to know about your business, which makes it superior to your competitors?

We are a very boutique custom shop that is respected and trusted in the cannabis industry. We are here to help protect communities and businesses, we are clearly centered on the security products and services we provide. What sets Securatech apart from any other provider is our attention to each client’s individual needs. We work hard at the onset of every relationship to make sure your goals are our goals so that we end up with a true security solution.

If someone wanted to start a business associated with cannabis, what advice would you give them?

Be diligent in your research in whatever area of the cannabis industry you enter. Since this movement is being accepted by more and more states, there are rules and regulations that are being made as this progresses. Have a strong team behind you, and legal and accounting representation.

What is the most important thing your business hopes to accomplish while in the cannabis community?

Our ultimate goal is to be known as the security company that can be trusted and depended on for all aspects of security and safety for commercial, residential and the cannabis industry. Securatech provides the “peace of mind” feeling.
