With extremely dense popcorn-like flowers and a very musky or pungent sour smell that creeps out of the bud (think of the scene of fresh turned earth), this strain shows its indica traits well. Pickle—provided by the good folks over at New Horizons in Colorado Springs—sports a desert of milky trichomes with little oases of dark green buds scattered about. This smooth and easy-to-smoke strain tastes like sweet dill, burning evenly and cleanly, a sign that it’s been cured well and flushed correctly. The effects come on suddenly with a strong, fast-acting euphoric effect that will easily prompt you to sit back for a while. The high is a very focused cerebral one, and it allows you to be creative and fluid in thought. More ideal for relaxing muscles and easing the mind (as opposed to heavy or focused pain relief), Escobar is good for anxiety, concentration, depression and muscle spasticity. A functional but still enlightening and relaxing medicine, this particular strain would be good for the mornings or afternoons, but only in a small amount because it has a tendency to lock you to the couch if you continue to medicate too much.
