alk about a happy New Year—now that the Federal Government has the Cromnibus Bill to help end the war against medical cannabis in legal states, I feel a huge amount of relief for our readers, our families and our friends. This time last year, we were worried about the future of medical cannabis and just beginning to look into a possible future with recreational cannabis.

I am so incredibly proud to be looking back on a monumental year for legalization in the United States, and looking ahead to a bright future with open minds and compassionate hearts for patients. The government has many other issues they need to bring their attention to, issues that are actually threatening the lives and communities of our states. Cannabis, a natural and safe alternative for so many things is the least of their worries—and I think they are finally seeing a little bit of that. In all the terror of the world, here in the United States, we are working together as a community to build ourselves better lives, and I am proud to be a part of that effort.

January is named after Janus, the God of beginnings and transitions; the name has roots in Roman mythology but comes from the Latin word for door ianua. January is the door to the New Year. Let’s open that bright and shining door to a healthy and positive year, with strong community and a thirst for more change, together.

Here’s to another year of support, growth and change!

Cheers,
