Mobile App to Help Chinese Investors Get into Cannabis Industry

Chinese ChineseInvestors.com, or CIIX, announced on November 14 that it was launching the world’s first mobile cannabis navigation application available in Chinese. The familiar discovery and reviewing of products as seen on popular apps like Yelp comes into play with this app, which contains a database full of local cannabis dispensaries to visit and strains to comment on.

Unlike other similar competitors though, this new app will also produce regular summary reports of the cannabis industry in Los Angeles and other major cities to better help their customers find the most high-quality products. The company also has plans to include cannabis merchant advertising and tourism recommendations within the next couple of years. But for now, the review-portion for the app is set for January 1, 2017.

According to a press release by ChineseInvestors.com, with the legalization of cannabis in California as well as with other states across the country, the demand for cannabis to serve the Chinese community will only continue to grow, “The demand and popularity for legal cannabis products among Chinese communities have the potential to grow, as California has millions of Chinese in its population. Currently, there are about 1,250 cannabis retailers in the regions of Los Angeles and San Diego and the number is expected to grow after the legalization of recreational cannabis use,” the press release stated.

Although cannabis is growing in acceptance across the world, some countries are not ready to put their faith in the plant. Warren Wang, CEO of CIIX, noted that it’s time that the Chinese people begin to see cannabis in a more positive light, “Many Chinese investors still have a bias against the cultivation and sales of cannabis, yet its effectiveness in the fields of medicine, food, cosmetics and other industries cannot be ignored, “ Wang stated. “And for those Chinese who do accept medical or recreational use of cannabis, they will need help in locating appropriate resources to assist them in learning how to utilize cannabis in an effective way. The cannabis ‘Yelp’ style social media mobile app developed by our company is specifically designed to help curious Chinese people do this. Furthermore, this application will help Chinese investors discover valuable business opportunities in cannabis cultivation, advertising and tourism.”
