We had to admit, it sounded weird to smoke anything with the
word “live” in it. It didn’t take long to get over that hangup when you see
what River Rock is doing with their live resin, particularly the Lemon Haze OG.
Plus, there aren’t two words we love more than “nug run,” as this flower-only
100 percent organic combo of Lemon G13 Haze and Ghost OG Trainwreck nails it
(no pun intended). Excellent terpene preservation means that opening the tiny
jar smells more potent than buds we’ve seen elsewhere. The blonde, semi-chunky
mix was eminently dabbable, but we erred on the side of caution and took a
slightly smaller hit than usual. Good call. We immediately felt it right behind
the eyes, a rushing effect that made mouths move into overdrive. Chatty and
excitable, this could border on anxious for those new to extracts as the Haze
is particularly pronounced. It might be more fitting to call the Lemon Haze OG
“alive” resin, as we felt brand new.
