Ahead of the release of their new film, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, Kevin Smith and Jay Mewes will debut three cannabis strains on Sept. 27 under a partnership with Caviar Gold. The strains become available the same day in California, Arizona, Michigan, Oklahoma, with plans to expand soon in Missouri, Illinois, Florida and Nevada. Those who wish to be among the first to try Jay & Silent Bob Strains can attend a launch event next week in West Hollywood, California.
The strains include Snoogans, an indica strain with roughly 42 percent THC and 3 percent CBD; Berzerker, a hybrid strain with 28 percent THC and 28 percent CBD and Snoochie Boochies, a Super Sativa strain with 20 percent THC and 35 percent CBD.
“Caviar Gold is what fuels my daily existence, so it’s not only an honor but an absolute fanboy thrill to have Caviar Gold powering Snoogans, Snoochie Boochies, and Berzerker! When I wrote Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, I dreamed the three strains our heroes cultivated in our movie could manifest in weed-legal states in real life. So thanks to Caviar Gold, you’ll be able to smoke my new movie,” said Smith.
Caviar Gold’s commitment to excellence is exemplified in the trio of new strains. “The Super Sativa, Indica, and Hybrid strains that were created are not only unique to the industry, but the world.” said Mike Brunson, CEO of Caviar Gold. “The cannabinoid profile combination of these Super Strains [is] unlike anything that anyone has seen, let alone smoked.”
To celebrate the launch of the new exclusive strains, Smith and Mewes appear at a budtending event at Herbarium Recreation Dispensary at 979 N La Brea Ave in West Hollywood, California on Sept. 27 from 4:20 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. Consumers will get to meet the dynamic duo with chance to take picture and autograph (based on purchase). Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is the latest installment from Smith’s franchise featuring Jay and Silent Bob. The character duo debuted in 1994 with Smith’s first major film Clerks. The two returned in 2001’s Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and in several other films.
