Jimi Hendrix’s brother, Leon Hendrix, recently plunged into the cannabis industry with his company Purple Haze Properties. After unveiling Hazesticks, his line of preloaded cannabis vaporizers, on Jimi Hendrix’s birthday, he’s introducing another line of products called Jimi’s Meds.

Leon Hendrix and Purple Haze Properties have invested in pre-loaded E-Njoint vaporizers, as well as Hendrix-themed Zippo lighters and other items. Purple Haze’s edible arm, Jimi’s Medicated Macaroons, is a multi-flavor gourmet line of cannabis-infused macaroons. A portion of the company’s proceeds go towards Jimi Hendrix’s surviving nieces and nephews.

Lucky judges at the 2016 High Times Cannabis Cup were some of the first to sample Jimi’s Meds products. The mostly non-psychoactive CBD + THCa 50mg blend was entered into the CBD edibles category, while the pure THC 25mg psychoactive supplement has been entered into the THC edibles category.

“We are excited to be a part of launching ‘Jimi’s Meds’ in California, in partnership with Purple Haze Properties. We think we’ll get great feedback on our new products, which are inspired by the legendary rocker, Jimi Hendrix. Andrew Pitsicalis and Leon Hendrix have been working hard to get the first set of Jimi’s Meds products entered into the 2016 High Times Cannabis Cup competition, which is helping create publicity for their new product line. We are proud to assist bringing their company initiatives to fruition, we are proud to be their full fledge partners, and we look forward to seeing you at the event,” stated Cannabis Science Inc., President & CEO, Co-Founder, Raymond C. Dabney.

The company is also an official licensing agent for Jack Herer, the “Emperor of Hemp.” “We look forward to regulation of Jack’s genetics and intellectual property so his family could receive the benefits from Jack Herer’s contributions to the Hemp and Cannabis world,” stated Purple Haze Properties CEO, Andrew Pitsicalis.
