iHeartJane.com Redefines the Online Cannabis Marketplace

Published

on

iHeartJane.com is the only complete end-to-end online marketplace compatible with all existing point-of-sales (POS) systems in the cannabis industry and allows consumers to find real-time availability of any product and then reserve it locally for pick up/delivery. Our patent-pending software helps transform the sector’s brick and mortar storefronts into successful “click and mortar” retailers.

What do you offer consumers/clients that others don’t?

Jane’s software gives end users confidence to know exactly what they want is available at local stores in real-time. They can compare products by price, other customer reviews and can order for pickup or delivery at times that work on their schedules. The search functionality is extremely smart; you can sort by typing “sleep-aid,” “CBD” or  ”gluten-free” and can get suggestions on products.

Dispensaries get a free turnkey digital marketplace, access to tons of consumer data and can now compete entirely on service and real reviews, rather than massive marketing budgets.

How and why did your company start up?

After leaving the Army, it wasn’t until Jane’s CEO and Co-Founder Socrates Rosenfeld turned 29 that his wife offered him cannabis. Cannabis allowed him to maintain presence in stressful moments and view himself with self-empathy and non-judgment.

Finding reliable information and safe access to cannabis was challenging, which was echoed by many fellow veterans. The stigma, the lack of education and limited access to safe and regulated cannabis held many back from trying cannabis.

Shortly after graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Socrates partnered with his brother and classmates to form Jane to guide veterans and civilians alike through a formerly complex and fragmented marketplace.

With the changing landscape of medical and recreational cannabis, what do you see as the biggest challenges to your progress as a company? Any advantages?

We are in an advantageous position with more states passing adult-use legislation. Many of these consumers, who may be new to cannabis, will be looking for, or ultimately demand, a simple and straightforward online shopping experience just like iHeartJane.com provides.

What words of advice would you offer anyone seeking to enter the world of cannabis business?

This is not a zero-sum game. Any entrepreneur who enters this industry must understand that it’s only when we work together that true progress can be made. That a long-term mindset will always trump short-term thinking. And that whatever we do in this industry today will set the course for future generations to come.

What are the goals and vision moving forward, for your company? Where do you see your company in five years?

Our goal is to support as many dispensaries as possible. We’re already partnered with more than 120 stores in only five months, and we expect to continue our rapid pace through 2018.

What do you hope to accomplish in the cannabis industry?

We believe the small business dispensary owners are the lifeblood of the industry, and the jobs they create are the road to a new American economy. We want to protect our dispensary partners and ensure that large incumbents won’t push out our favorite mom-and-pop shops. We want to be a trusted voice for this industry and help bring cannabis to the world.
