The 2016 Cannabis Investment Study has been released by New Frontier Data, Arcview Market Research and The Arcview Investor Network. Together, these three authorities on cannabis-related data show insight into how a large majority of investors are showing interest in cannabis-related businesses.

A report by www.broadwayworld.com shows that 68 percent of investors are interested in cannabis-related businesses in addition to businesses that do not relate to cannabis. New Fronteir Data CEO and Founder Giadha DeCarcer gave www.broadwayworld.com insight into why this growing interest is happening. “It is notable to see investors’ appetite is now broadening beyond just ancillary services where there has been less stigma and risk attached in the past,” DeCarcer stated. “With the cannabis industry forecasted to grow at a compounded annual rate of 29 percent over the next four years, making it one of the fastest growing industries in the U.S., investors are now open to exploring any opportunity in the sector whether it touches the plant or not.”

Sixty-two percent of the interested investors would consider investing in ancillary commercial products, which would be commercial products that support the operations and activities of the cannabis industry. Forty-six percent of the investors would be interested in investing in products that were not cannabis flower and instead focus on cannabis products like edibles and concentrates. Further, 28 percent of the investors were interested in cultivation facilities. Other areas of interest included consulting services, industrial equipment and industrial hemp.

Acrview Group CEO Troy Dayton shared his insight with www.broadwayworld.com about one of the group’s involved in the study, The Arcview Investor Network. “The Arcview Investor Network is, by far, the largest single source of deal flow in the fastest growing industry in America and the largest single group of investors placing capital in the sector,” Dayton stated. “We were honored to be the focus of the first ever deep-dive study on actual investor’s attitudes and actions so far.”
