While it’s described as an indica, Godzilla seems to be more of an indica-dominant hybrid with slight sativa characteristics. Exhibiting fine lime green flowers with traces of purple throughout, this strain from Humboldt Care and Wellness Center in Colorado Springs is very sticky and chunky. Covered in a coat of fine crystal-white trichomes, its bouquet tickles the nose with its sweet berry smell and lingering sour notes. An equally sour flavor will hit you in the back of the throat; it’s a little harsh on the inhale but Godzilla delivers a smooth exhale laden with a vanilla aftertaste. The initial “couch lock” effects—drifting in thought, sedated body—peak rather quickly, but once they do you’ll find yourself transitioning into a clearheaded, relaxed state, able to engage in focused conversations. There’s great potential here for morning or afternoon medicating—but Godzilla isn’t good if you’re trying to get to sleep right away. Because of its initial heavy effects, this strain’s ideal for pain and muscle-related ailments. But it’s also a good mood enhancer, fitting for socializing as well as tackling depression and anxiety.
