Gorilla Glue strains are some of the most well-known and original variations of cannabis strains available. Despite its long-running status in the cannabis community, a recent dispute is forcing the company to rename its flower products.

The Gorilla Glue Company, famous for its line of super glue, contested the ownership of the name usage of “Gorilla Glue” with GG Strains LLC recently—and after months of deliberation, a decision was finally made. This conflict is one of the first times that such a decision has been made regarding companies with similar names to cannabis strains. According to GG Strains LLC, the company is hopeful that the transition will be a smooth one. “We’re excited this entire ordeal is behind us, allowing us to get back to what we do best. We’re moving forward, and this agreement helps to ensure our consumers are receiving the authentic, award-winning cannabis strains bred by the experts at GG Strains.

Although this is the end of an era for Gorilla Glue strains in name, the legacy of the strain will live on in the hearts of all cannabis consumers.
