The World’s Largest Cannabis Career Fair
Last Thursday, the World’s Largest Cannabis Career Fair took place in Denver. Over 50 cannabis companies looked at qualified candidates to fill over 1,000 cannabis-related job vacancies. Vangst Talent Network, formerly known as Gradujudana, organized the event. Employers are hoping to find career-oriented, qualified individuals that are ready for an explosive industry.
Attendees were able to listen to valuable career advice from Diane Czarkowski, founding partner of Canna Advisors, Karson Humiston, CEO of Vangst Talent Network and Scott M. Afable, CEO of Highest Rewards.
Job seekers from all walks of life will find career opportunities—from entry level to highly skilled administrative and medical positions. Many familiar companies will be filling positions including Leafly, LivWell, Native Roots, Healthy Headie Lifestyle, Medicine Man and many more. A digital packet is available with job descriptions for most of the vacancies. The packet includes information on qualifying and receiving a Colorado Marijuana Badge from Colorado’s Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED). It also includes information on choosing which type of Colorado Marijuana Occupational License you need.
Attendees can investigate the latest products to grace the industry in the product demo area. Organizers have mentioned that you should come dressed for success. Employers in the cannabis industry are looking for respectable, well-dressed job seekers, perhaps more stringently than in other industries.
Last year’s event attracted 2,000 job seekers and filled over 300 job openings. This year is expected to attract a larger crowd.
The event took place at the Mile High Station at 2027 Old West Colfax Avenue in Denver on Thursday, July 28th from 2-8pm. Leafly is sponsoring the after party, exclusively for the lucky guests that received an invite.
