Eric Eslao used to work as the Production Manager at Apple for over six years. Now his experience at one of the leading technology companies have given him a creative edge into creating his newly launched edible companies, Défoncé Chocolatier, according to Tech Insider.

Eslao’s chocolates are described as “user-friendly,” because the unique cannabis chocolate bars are easily broken into 18 different triangular pieces, all of which contain 18mg dosages of THC. This allows patients to consistently and easily eat cannabis, while knowing exactly how much THC is in every bite.

The chocolate bars are infused with CO2 cannabis oil mixed with chocolate from two gourmet retailers, TCHO and Guittard Chocolate Company. Patients can choose from a variety of chocolate flavors from coffee and dark to hazelnut, mint, vanilla bean and more.

The top-quality product mixed with a slick and attractive design nod to Eslao’s prior work experience. Eslao explained in the interview with Tech Insider how working at Apple helped to refine his taste, “Somehow, once you start drinking the Kool-Aid, it really does change the way you look at things—how detail-oriented you are, how pixel-perfect you are.” Eslao is well equipped to turn misconceptions about the cannabis industry around with high-quality products and smart design.

The future is bright for Défoncé Chocolatier, as they plan to create baking chocolates and simple syrups that are infused with cannabis. Matt Masera is a celebrity chef from San Francisco who will partner with Défoncé to make this plan a reality.

The chocolate bars can currently be purchased in cannabis collectives throughout California at a purchase price of about $20 each. However, if recreational cannabis gets legalized this November, we could see these products more widely available.
