Dr. Bronner’s Contributes Over $600,000 to End Racist Cannabis Prohibition

Cannabis ProhibitionDr. Bronner’s is a family business that has always been committed to the greater good. Now it has been announced in a press release by the organic soap company, Dr. Bronner’s, that they are committed to contribute $660,000 to help end Cannabis Prohibition in five states.

The release states that Dr. Bronner’s is working alongside New Approach and the Marijuana Policy Project to support legalization efforts and regulation campaigns in Arizona, California, Maine, Massachusetts and Nevada. The release states, “The expected sweep of these states will exert enormous pressure on federal lawmakers to end the racist outdated policy of cannabis prohibition, that shreds productive citizens’ lives and families for no good reason, and focus law enforcement resources instead on actual crime.”

This is not the only worthy cause that Dr. Bronner’s is donating to. They also shared that they donated $250,000 to the Fairness Project to help raise the minimum wages in Arizona, Colorado and Maine to $12 by 2020. Their donation also supports raising Washington’s minimum wage to $13.50 by 2020.

Another cause Dr. Bronner’s supports is Yes on 3 in Massachusetts. They donated $100,000 to this cause, which works with the Humane Society of the United States to end the cruel confinement of veal calves, pigs and egg-laying hens in Massachusetts.

Dr. Bronner is committed to making environmental and social changes by making high-quality and responsible products, They are also committed to making the world a better place by using the profits they earn to give back to worthy causes to help animals, people and the organic, non-genetically modified movement.

With all the anti-cannabis legalization funding coming from pharmaceutical companies and self-interested billionaires, it is a relief to see such a responsible company step forward to fund the fight to legalize cannabis.
